Chef Jay Taylor

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Chef Jay Taylor’s passion for cooking began early. He was born on a Pennsylvania farm where his love of garden, land, and farm-to-table was cultivated. Jay possesses a rich culinary background, including honing French cooking skills under Henri Laasakaon and Francois de Melouge. Jay is a trained forager of ramps, herbs, mushrooms, beach plum, and fiddleheads. His impressive culinary talent and menu development skills enhance the award-winning dining experience at The Wharf Restaurant.

Make your next special event a memorable one. From elaborate engagements to private dinners, The Wharf offers a stunning coastal location, delicious food, and a friendly team.

Three additional options for a personalized experience are available. The Wine Room is appointed with The Big Table, a high-top communal dining space for larger gatherings. The Nook is tucked into a semi-private space, perfect for up to six guests. The Crow’s Nest is a romantic two-person booth located at the end of the bar.

Our new SeaBelle Suite is the perfect residential-style space for special occasions. Experience private dining for up to eight guests or a cocktail reception for up to 30 guests. Features a living area, dining table, private bath, flat screen televisions, and wet bar.
